WARNING: If you participate in these activities your rights to sue the supplier under the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 if you are killed or injured because the activities were not supplied with due care and skill or were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in or on this *sign/*notice.
NOTE: The change to your rights, as set out in or on this *sign/*notice, does not apply if your death or injury is due to gross negligence on the supplier's part. Gross negligence, in relation to an act or omission, means doing the act or omitting to do an act with reckless disregard, with or without consciousness, for the consequences of the act or omission. See regulation 5 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Regulations 2022 and section 22(3)(b) of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012.

Ticketing & Entry

A valid ticket is required for entry. Tickets may be scanned/validated and voided if duplicated or altered.

Tickets must not be resold for profit or used for unauthorised promotions.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who breaches these conditions or behaves unsafely.
Refunds, Cancellations & Changes

Change-of-mind refunds are not required (unless you choose to offer them).

If the organiser cancels the event or makes a major change (e.g., substantial changes to what was advertised), ticket-holders are entitled to a refund under consumer rights.

If the event is postponed, tickets will generally remain valid for the rescheduled date and any options offered will comply with consumer rights.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
All-Ages, Children & Supervision

Wyrd Realms Festival is an all-ages event.

Children/minors must remain under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian.

If alcohol is present at the venue, under 18s will not be served and ID may be requested where applicable.
Code of Conduct

Be respectful. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwanted touching, or disruptive behaviour won’t be tolerated.

Follow staff/venue directions and any safety instructions.

If asked to stop a behaviour or move areas, you must comply.
Costumes & Props (Safety First)

Costumes and cosplay are welcome.

No real weapons (including knives/blades) and no sharp or hard weapon props that could injure or alarm others.

No imitation firearms / realistic gun props. (These can be treated as prohibited items in Victoria; bring non-realistic alternatives only.)

The organiser may inspect, “peace-bond,” or refuse any prop at their discretion.
Security & Prohibited Items

Bag checks may occur.

No illegal substances, dangerous items, or anything likely to cause harm or alarm.

Intoxicated or aggressive patrons may be refused entry/removed.
Photography & Recording

Photography and filming may occur at the event. By attending, you consent to being photographed/filmed and for that material to be used for festival marketing and documentation.

If you prefer not to be photographed, speak with staff on arrival and we’ll do our best to accommodate (we can’t guarantee exclusion from all background shots).
Liability

Attendance is at your own risk. Please take care in crowded areas and around activities/displays.

The organiser is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
