Game Masters at Wyrd Realms Festival

We run a mix of community-run tables and professional-run sessions so everyone can find a great game. Community-run tables keep the festival open, friendly, and full of variety — perfect for new players, casual groups, and anyone who wants to jump in and try something different.

Professional-run sessions create feature tables with experienced hosts, refined one-shots, and a chance for attendees to connect with GM businesses and services they can book again after the festival.

Community GM Volunteers 

If you’re a community GM and you’re happy to volunteer your time by running scheduled sessions during the festival, you’ll receive complimentary festival entry as a thank-you. Community Storykeepers are the heart of Wyrd Realms — you help keep the tables welcoming, varied, and full of discovery for new adventurers and seasoned players alike.

 

To make it easy, the Wyrd Realms GM’s Guild supports you like a lantern-lit library between chapters: we’ll match you to players, confirm your session times and table location, and provide clear schedule info so you can focus on telling a great story.

 

You’ll also have access to Guild resources — a simple Storykeeper’s kit (sign-in sheet, table marker, essentials), optional pre-gen characters/quick-start material, and a point of contact if you need help on the day.

  • Volunteer expectation (for complimentary entry): Run two sessions across the weekend (or one session per day).

  • If plans change: Please let us know as early as possible so we can fill your table and keep the schedule running smoothly.

Professional GMs
Business Promotion) — $50 (Entry Included)

Professional GM spots are for Storykeepers who offer paid services — or who want to promote a GM business, brand, or ongoing campaigns. This is your chance to run sessions at Wyrd Realms while also being clearly discoverable to players who may want to book you again after the festival.

The $50 fee (with entry included) helps cover the behind-the-scenes cost of running a smooth, structured games program — scheduling and table coordination, player matching, communications, and promotion — so the festival program stays organised, easy to navigate, and enjoyable for everyone.

As a Professional GM, you’ll be presented as a featured Storykeeper in the festival’s games listings, so attendees can find you easily. You’ll receive Professional GM signage for your table, plus a listing that can include your bio and links (website/socials/booking) so players can follow your work beyond the weekend.

  • Professional GM spot includes: Festival entry + Professional DM listing + table signage/visibility.

  • Best suited for: GMs with a service to promote, a brand, a Patreon/stream/community, or paid campaign offerings.
